Wolverine playoffs start on the road
WEST CARLETON – The regular season is over, and two Wolverine teams are off to the National Capital Amateur Football Association (NCAFA) playoffs.
The peewees dropped their final game of the regular season 37-6 to the Gloucester South Raiders in Leitrim on Thanksgiving Monday (Oct. 14). That gives the Wolverines a .500 record at 4-4 and seventh in the 12-team peewee division.
That means the Wolverines will start the playoffs on the road in Barrhaven against the 7-1 Nepean Eagles on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 3 p.m. at Quinns Point Field.
The tykes will also be on the road to start the playoffs. The Wolverines are heading to Cornwall on Sunday, Oct. 20 for a game against the Wildcats at Joe St-Denis Field. Kickoff is at noon.
The Wolverine tykes finishes the regular season with an 0-8 record and will face a team that hasn’t lost a game all year. One of those streaks will end this weekend.
The mosquito 9V9 team finished the season with a 2-6 record. There are no playoffs in that division.
