DUNROBIN – An 18-year-old has been arrested after speeding through Dunrobin yesterday (Aug. 22).
“Ottawa police frontline officers responded to a call about a vehicle driving at high rates of speed in the area of Dunrobin Road yesterday at 3:11 p.m.,” the Ottawa Police Service (OPS) released in a statement today. “A witness called 911 to report a vehicle driving at high rates of speed, weaving in and out of oncoming traffic.”
As the witness was on the phone, he saw the driver lose control and the vehicle roll over into the ditch. The male driver exited the vehicle and attempted to run away.
“Two other witnesses stepped in and were able to keep the suspect driver at the scene of the collision,” the OPS said.
Officers arrived and arrested the male suspect without incident.
