WEST CARLETON – Environment Canada is expecting a huge rain downpour starting this evening (Oct. 16)
Environment Canada issued a special weather statement this morning calling for heavy rain tonight through Thursday.
“Rain, at times heavy, is forecast to begin this evening and then continue through Thursday,” Environment Canada released in a statement today (Oct. 16). “Current forecast guidance suggests that 40 to 50 millimetres of accumulation will be possible by the time the rain comes to end Thursday evening.”
A rainfall warning of 50 mm within 24 hours may be needed later today for portions of the area if rainfall amounts increase above those currently forecast.
