West Carleton culvert work this August

WEST CARLETON – Two West Carleton culvert jobs will cause ‘slight delays’ in the month of August.

There was a slight delay in the start date of the road closure that will allow city staff to replace the culvert at the Ritchie Side Road bridge – approximately 350 metres south-west of Ivy Acres Road.

The closure is now in place as the work has begun to replace the culvert. The road is expected to reopen by the end of August. Notification signs have been posted and there is a signed detour in place. Local and emergency vehicle access will be maintained.

A bridge culvert replacement is also happening at Kilmaurs Side Road in August.  Kilmaurs Side Road will be closed between Woodkilton Road and Dunrobin Road beginning Aug. 6 for a period of three weeks.

The closure is required for the replacement of an existing bridge culvert. Detours will be in place and only local vehicular access will be available. Subject to weather conditions, it is planned that Kilmaurs Side Road should reopen by the last week of August.
