CARP – The West Carleton Food Access Centre’s (WCFAC) biggest fundraiser of the year kicks off Sept. 6 with a ton of opportunity for you to fill out that bookshelf.

The WCFAC Annual Book Sale is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 6 starting at noon until 8 p.m. and wraps up Saturday, Sept. 7 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

“We have 10,000 gently used books sorted by author and in to more than 20 non-fiction categories including a large children section,” volunteers released in a statement. “Plenty of free parking.”

2018 was a challenging year for the WCFAC, the public learned at its May 2019 annual general meeting. The organization was supporting and fundraising for a community that was dealing with two natural disasters in the same year. The organization donated $50,000 to West Carleton Disaster Relief.
