WC’s P38 Energy part of $30,000 Budget Propane group donation to local food banks

OLD HWY. 17 – West Carleton’s propane supplier made a donation to the Lanark County Food Bank as part of a team effort that resulted in a $30,000 donation to various food banks by the P38 Energy – Budget Propane group.

“Today, the P38 Energy – Budget Propane Group presented a cheque to each of the food banks in their locality to support organizations offering aid to people who are in need due to the current situation,” the group of companies released in a statement. “Even with the business partly operational during this difficult period, we believe it is essential to support our community and mainly, organizations that can help families stay positive and keep a smile on their face. The P38 Energy – Budget Propane goup invites other companies to support community organizations.”

The P38 Energy – Budget Propane group includes branches in West Carleton, Cornwall, Gananoque, Gatineau, Mirabel, Montpellier and Valleyfield.

West Carleton branch manager Jeff Girard made a donation to the Lanark County Food Bank in Carleton Place.

“In this time of uncertainty, we thank all of our employees for their hard work and cooperation in keeping services safe and caring for the basic needs of our customers,” Girard said. “Special thanks for understanding the situation to those awaiting the return of normal activities to rejoin the team. We also congratulate and thank all those who support and contribute to the well-being of our communities.”
