WC fish-game club hosts target shooting competition April 27

CARP – Are you West Carleton’s dead eye?

Find out at the West Carleton Fish-Game Club .22 Long Rifle Target Competition April 27, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“Come join us at a friendly event and club competition for all ages,” the club said in a release. “Shoot well already? Then come test your skill at our competition.”

Only iron sights will be allowed during the competition. The entry fee is $25 and there are prizes for competition winners. Competitors will also be provided a hot dog or hamburger lunch with their entry fee. Food will also be available for purchase for spectators.

There are covered areas available for shade or rain. All shooting will be under direct supervision by certified range officers.

National Archery School Program bows will also be on hand to try. The event will be held at 1545 Thomas Argue Rd., Carp.
