Vanier school visits the Harbour
FITZROY HARBOUR – The staff and students of St. Michael’s Catholic School Fitzroy Harbour hosted their urban namesakes for a tour of everything the rural school has to offer.
On Tuesday, Oct. 22 students from St. Michael School, a Kindergarten to Grade 6 school located in Vanier but part of the same board the Ottawa Catholic Board, travelled to Fitzroy Harbour to meet the students and tour the community.
“St. Michael’s School Fitzroy Harbour was excited to welcome our guests from St. Michael in Ottawa, into our school,” teacher Cassie Collins said. “We were able to go on a hike in the provincial park, meet new friends, enjoy lunch together, and send each guest home with a mini pumpkin. The students enjoyed seeing all the nature we have at our doorstep.”
