Valley A’s pick off top spot in Pickering
PICKERING – The Ottawa Valley A’s were invited to Pickering last weekend and came home tournament champions.
The Ottawa Valley A’s won the eight-team Pickering Invitational Tournament on Friday, June 14 and Saturday June 15 and didn’t drop a game throughout the weekend.
The A’s went 5-0 in two days of fastball action. The A’s Dave Baird was named tournament Most Valuable Player.
“Congratulations to the Ottawa Valley A’s who went through the tournament undefeated going 5-0,” tournament organizers released in a statement.
The Ottawa Valley A’s are made of players from the West Carleton and Arnprior area.
