UPDATE: Found – Police seek two missing youth from Stittsville area

(UPDATE, 7:29 a.m., July 22): The Ottawa Police Service Missing Persons Section informs that Sydney Williams and Kayla Leonard-Lacey have been located safe and sound. “Thank you for your assistance,” the Ottawa police said.

STITTSVILLE – Ottawa police are seeking the public’s help to find two missing young women last seen in the Stittsville area.

“The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) Missing Persons Section is asking for public assistance to locate missing Kayla Leonard-Lacey, 14, and Sydney Williams, 17. Kayla and Sydney were last seen at approximately 1 a.m. on July 21 in the Stittsville area,” the OPS released in a statement this evening (July 21). “Their families are concerned for their safety.”

Kayla is described as a Caucasian female, 5’8” (173 cm), 140 lbs (64 kg) with grey eyes and long dark brown hair. She was last seen wearing black jogging pants and a black sweater.

Sydney is described as a Caucasian female, 5’3” (160 cm), 100 pounds (45 kg) with blue eyes, long blond hair and a pierced nose. She was last seen wearing a beige sweater and black pants.

Police say both may be in the area of Caldwell Avenue and Merivale Road, and possibly with each other.

Anyone with information about the current whereabouts of Sydney or Kayla is asked to call the Ottawa Police at 613-236-1222.
