Unmasking Influenza exhibit at Arnprior Museum

ARNPRIOR – If you are still reading newspapers with your rubber gloves on, you know respiratory diseases are dominating the news cycle.

A new exhibit is coming to the Arnprior and District Museum in February – The Unmasking Influenza exhibit is running Tuesdays to Thursdays as well as weekends starting on Feb. 8.  Arnprior Museum Curator, Janet Carlile explains some of what visitors can see at the exhibit.

“There will be a variety of medical devises,” Carlile told Oldies 107.7 FM. “History on the Spanish Flu which killed 1,000s of Canadians and millions worldwide. I think it’s quite apt for this day.”

The Unmasking Influenza exhibit has been touring Canada and is available in Arnprior until April 1. You can visit the historical Canadian exhibit from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. except for Fridays and Mondays.
