U.S. Thanksgiving football a Point fundraiser for WCFAC
CONSTANCE BAY – The Point Dining Lounge will be eating turkey, watching football and raising funds this Thursday, celebrating one of our American neighbours’ biggest holidays.
On Thursday, Nov. Nov. 26 The Point will be hosting its seventh annual Thanksgiving Fundraiser for the West Carleton Food Access Centre (WCFAC).
All you have to do take part is eat turkey and watch football.
“A free turkey dinner, while supplies last, will be offered to you in exchange for a cash or gift card donation to the West Carleton food bank,” owners Rick and Mary Charlebois released in a statement yesterday (Nov. 22). “Unfortunately, we cannot accept non-perishable food items this year.”
What is so great about American Thanksgiving? How about 12 hours of NFL football on a Thursday? It only happens once a year.
“So, come on down to The Point and take part in an American Thanksgiving tradition football and turkey and help support our local food bank as we move into the holiday season,” the Charlebois said. “Hope you can join us. Gobble-gobble.”
Football games kick off at 12:30 p.m. and the turkey dinner will be served after 5:30 p.m.
