Two October shows for RRTC

WEST CARLETON – The Rural Root Theatre Company has two great shows planned for the month of October.

From Oct. 22 to Oct. 26 the theatre company will be presenting 12 Angry Jurors.

12 Angry Jurors, is based on the 1957 movie with Henry Fonda, 12 Angry Men, and features 12 people thrown together in a court of law. The case at hand pertains to whether a young man murdered his own father. The jury is further instructed that a guilty verdict will be accompanied by a mandatory death sentence. These 12 then move to the jury room, where they begin to become acquainted with the personalities of their peers.

This show runs October 22 to 26, with a matinee Oct. 20 at the NorthWind Wireless Fibre Centre in Constance Bay. Tickets are $17 and available at www.ruralroot.org or by calling 613-618-9789.

Starting Oct. 31 enjoy a performance that takes place in a bar, from your seat in a bar.

The Rural Root Theatre Company’s FrankenSteve serves up action in a bar in the Amazon Jungle where a woman meets a big game hunter, a mechanic and an evil engineer? What could go wrong?

This one-act play is Rural Root’s entry into the Eastern Ontario Drama League (EODL) One-Act Play Festival. The show will run on Oct 31 to Nov 2 at the West Carleton Amateur Sport Club at W. Erskine Johnston Arena in Carp. Tickets are only $10 (general admission) and available at www.ruralroot.org or by calling 613-618-9789.
