Three Ottawa men charged in sex assault Oct. 23

OTTAWA – Three men are charged with sexual assault following an incident involving the forcible confinement of a 15-year-old female Thursday (Oct. 23).

“The Ottawa Police Services (OPS) Sexual Assault Section has charged three Ottawa men with sexual assaults involving a 15-year-old female,” the OPS released in a statement yesterday (Oct. 25). “The incident occurred on Oct. 23, at approximately 10:30 p.m.mThe female was assaulted by the men, while at the residence of one of the males that she had met at a local shopping centre in the east end of Ottawa, and not permitted to leave.”

She managed to text a family member to alert that she was in danger. She later fled the apartment and got immediate assistance from frontline officers who were searching the area looking for her, based on the information relayed by the family. The men were charged and will attended court Oct. 25 for a show cause hearing.

Bile Mohamed, 27-years-old, Yusuf Yusuf, 30-years-old, Ismail Moallim, 21-years-old, all from Ottawa are each facing seven charges related to the sexual assault.

Mohamed has also been charged with Beach of Probation, Theft under x2, Administer noxious substance, and Uttering threats.

YUSUF has been additionally charged with Obstructing Justice.
