The WC Glee Club is back and now it’s free

CARP – The West Carleton Glee Club winter/spring session sign-up is on and now it’s free to be a member.

The Glee Club is a singing group that meets at Huntley Parish Hall in Carp on Wednesday evenings to learn singing skills and perform songs as a group.

“Glee will be back with our Winter/Spring session as of Feb. 26,” Glee Club boss Jen Britton released in a statement. “New singers are always welcomed.”

There are two age groups. The Primary Glee Club, pre-Kindergarten to Grade 2, meets from 6 to 6:45 p.m. The Intermediate Glee Club, Grade 3 to Grade 8, meets from 6:45 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.

“There will no longer be a cost for this program,” Britton said. “Moving forward, we’ll be doing our charitable fundraising in other ways. Can’t wait to get singing together again soon.”

The Glee Club performs at several special events every year. They host their own events and are often guests at other community events such as the Dunrobin tree lighting in 2018 and the Corkery tree lighting in 2019 (those are only the ones we knew about)/

“Spaces are limited, and will be filled on a first come, first served basis,” Britton said. “Please register online ASAP to avoid disappointment.”
