KANATA – Two people were transported to hospital Saturday (Sept. 5) afternoon, both with serious injuries follow a motor vehicle collision on Terry Fox Drive near Hazeldean Road.

Ottawa fire, police and paramedics were on scene at the corner of Hazeldean Road and Terry Fox Drive. around 1 p.m. dealing with the collision which heavily damaged two vehicles and knocked down a traffic post.

According to paramedics, there were at least two people, a 40 year old man a woman, who were transported to the Ottawa Hospital’s civic campus. 

The man sustained a head injury. It is unclear what kind of injuries the woman sustained. 

The Ottawa police referred to the injuries as non-life threatening, but one of the patients had their injuries upgraded to very serious.

Road closures have been put into place overnight as the Ottawa police’s collision unit will investigate the scene.
