Snow to cover WC starting Monday evening

WEST CARLETON – Family Day is going to be a snowy one as Environment Canada is calling for 15 to 25 centimetres starting tomorrow evening (Feb. 15).

“Heavy snowfall likely Monday night into Tuesday,” Environment Canada released in a special weather statement this afternoon (Feb. 14).

Light snow is expected to affect the area Monday morning and afternoon with a few centimetres possible.

“A much more significant area of snow will move into the region Monday evening,” Environment Canada said. “The snow will likely fall heavily at times and continue into Tuesday morning. Total amounts of 15 to 25 cm are possible.”
