Senior glee club making music in Carp

CARP – The West Carleton Glee Club is bringing singing to the seniors.

The popular singing club is offering a free vocal music program for West Carleton area seniors.

“West Carleton Glee Club is very excited to announce a free new Glee program, available to all seniors in our community,” organizer Jennifer Britton released in a statement. “We will be learning and rehearsing songs to perform, and we’ll have a great time while we’re doing it. To add to the fun, the children’s Glee Club will join in to perform their songs from time to time, and the kids are looking forward to learning from our senior Glee singers about the music they love, too.”

The Senior Glee Club meets Thursday from 11 a.m. to noon at the Carp Commons Retirement Village.

“We’re just getting started, but new members are welcomed to join at any time,” Britton said. “We hope that you’ll come by and see what it’s all about.”
