OTTAWA – It was a Canada Day present for Ottawa’s seniors.

That was the day the City of Ottawa made Wednesdays and Sundays no charge days for senior OC Transpo riders.

“As of July 1, OC Transpo Customers aged 65+ are able to ride OC Transpo no charge on Wednesdays and Sundays,” City of Ottawa staff released in a statement today (Aug. 7). “To go through fare gates, you will need a Presto card set with the Senior discount. Do not, however, tap your card on the bus.”
