Rural grants program accepting applications

WEST CARLETON – If you are a non-profit organization with a project needing funds, now is the time to apply to the City of Ottawa.

“The Rural Community-Building Grant Program (RCBGP) is designed to support rural-based community projects undertaken by non-profit organizations such as community associations, business organizations, farmers’ markets, and agricultural groups,” Coun. Eli El-Chantiry released in a statement today (June 16). “Funding is project-based, with a defined beginning and end and measurable outcomes.”

The city continues to accept applications for projects that can be safely completed during the COVID-19 pandemic; those that meet guidelines provided by Ottawa Public Health and the province, including maintaining proper distancing.

Assessment is based on the merit of the project, community impact and organizational effectiveness. Click here for guidelines on applying for funding. For more information, contact the Rural Affairs Office at RuralAffairs@ottawa.ca
