RRTC looking at bad auditions
CONSTANCE BAY – The Rural Root Theatre Company’s (RRTC) next production is hoping for some bad auditions this coming September.
“Rural Root Theatre is bringing to your computer screen another virtual play,” the company released in a statement Saturday (Aug. 29).
So, the theatre company is hosting online auditions Sept. 13 and Sept. 16 starting at 7 p.m. for their next production Bad Auditions…On Camera.
“A casting director has one day to find an actor to fill the role of a lawyer in a crime procedural,” the RRTC said. “But what seems like a simple task proves impossible when the pool of actors includes stage thespians who cannot tone it down for the screen, performers completely unable to keep themselves in frame, and an actor who seems to believe this is a toothpaste commercial. Vote for who you think should get the role when you step behind the doors of a casting session in this hilarious comedy.”
The production will be directed by Ron Gardner and produced by Charlene Gardner. Roy Ballantyne will provide stage management. Produced by special arrangement with Playscripts Inc.
In order to audition you will need access to the Internet and the teleconferencing software Zoom. The RRTC will provide a link to attend the audition
For more information or to apply to audition visit their webite ruralroot.org. The play will be presented in Mid October 2020 on Zoom.
