Renfrew OPP arrest a couple of bail violators in weekly round-up

RENFREW COUNTY – The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated 228 calls for service between Sept. 21 to Sept. 17.

On Sept. 23, officers with the Renfrew OPP Detachment were dispatched to a disturbance on Raglan Street South in the Town of Renfrew. As a result of the investigation Dylan Hobbins, 20 of the Town of Renfrew, has been charged with failure to comply with release order. The accused was held for bail court.

On Sept. 26, an officer with the Renfrew OPP Detachment stopped a vehicle on Haley Road, in the Township of Admaston-Bromley. As a result of the investigation Dylan Brown, 28 of the Town of Renfrew, was charged with disobeying order of court. The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Renfrew on Nov. 18.

Arnprior and Renfrew officers investigated eight domestic disputes during the past week.

One accused has been charged with one count of assault and fail to comply with probation order. One accused has been charged with mischief. One accused has been charged with mischief, utter threats, and assault with a weapon.

On Sept. 21, officers with the Renfrew OPP Detachment responded to a motor vehicle accident on Gorra Hill Road in the Township of Admaston-Bromley. The vehicle was located by officers and as a result of the investigation, Gerald Blimkie, 64 of the Town of Renfrew, has been charged with dangerous operation, impaired driving, and driving with blood alcohol concentration over 80. The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Renfrew on Dec. 2.

On Sept. 24, an officer with the Renfrew OPP Detachment initiated a traffic stop on Highway 17 in the township of Horton. As a result of the investigation, Phillip Houston, 56 of Cocoa, Florida, has been charged with impaired driving. The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Renfrew on Nov. 4.

On Sept. 21, an officer with the Renfrew OPP Detachment initiated a traffic stop on Highway 17 in the Township of Whitewater Region. As a result of the investigation, Alain McMaster, 46 of Hanmer, Ontario, has been charged with operation of motor vehicle while prohibited under the criminal code and possession of a schedule I substance. The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Renfrew on Nov. 4.
