Warden Robinson will officially accept the chain of office for her second term following a brief ceremony at the inaugural session of county council held Dec. 15.

Robinson says the county will press forward with initiatives concerning community health by working together with the province to maintain and expand the Renfrew County Virtual Triage and Assessment Centre, and continue to support and lead initiatives that ensure our community’s most vulnerable are given the services and supports that they deserve and require such as housing, childcare and Ontario works.

“We will continue to unveil and adopt projects and initiatives of the Butterfly Model for Bonnechere Manor and Miramichi Lodge,” Robinson said.

Robinson has served in municipal government for the past 14 years. Prior to that she was a local journalist, and deeply involved as a community volunteer where she sat on boards of governance for many associations in the county.
