RENFREW COUNTY – August was a heck of a month for home sellers in Renfrew County.

Housing sales in Renfrew County set a new sales record last month according to the Renfrew County Real Estate Board’s August report stating 187 units were sold last month.

That’s a 10 per cent increase from August of last year and sets a new sales record for the month. The average sale price was also up nine per cent in August, compared to a year ago at $258,415.

These sales continue the board’s projections for this to be their best year on record for home sales in Renfrew County. Through the first eight months of this year, a total of 1,048 homes have been sold. That is an increase of 12.5  per cent from the same time last year.
