Police seeking suspect in Manotick robbery

MANOTICK – The Ottawa police are releasing a photo in an effort to catch a crook involved in a Jan. 7 robbery.

“The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) Robbery Unit is looking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man involved in a robbery in the 1100 block of Beaverwood Rd., Jan. 7,” the OPS released in a statement today (Jan. 25). “Around mid-morning, a lone man entered a business and demanded money while holding a bag out. The suspect left on foot with an undisclosed amount of money and merchandise.”

No injuries were reported in this incident.

“The suspect is described as a Caucasian man in his mid 20s to early 30s, approximately 5’8” (173 cm) and 165 lbs (75 kg),” the police said. “He was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with light-coloured jeans, dark-coloured gloves and dark shoes. His face was covered with a black mask.
