Police seek man missing in Kanata

KANATA – The Ottawa police are looking for a 59-year-old concerned for his well being.

“The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is asking for assistance in locating missing male, Gary Fontaine, 59 years old of Ottawa,” the OPS released in a statement today. “He was last seen on Dec. 2 in the area of Castlefrank Road in Kanata. There are concerns for his well-being.”

Fontaine is a described as a Caucasian male, 5’7” (170 cm) with a slim build. He has a scruffy facial beard and salt with pepper thinning hair. He was possibly wearing a black leather jacket and carrying several duffle bags.

Anyone with information about the current whereabouts of Gary is asked to call the Ottawa Police at 613-236-1222. If you have information that could assist investigators, but do not know where he is currently, please contact the Missing Persons Unit 613-236-1222, ext. 2355, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., daily.
