Police investigating Saturday night shooting in Bells Corners

BELLS CORNERS – Shots were fired in Bells Corners Saturday night (Feb. 8) and police found the victim.

“At approximately 9:30 p.m. on Feb. 8, frontline officers attended the area of Seyton Drive and Sonnet Crescent in response to a complaint of gunshots,” the Ottawa Police Service (OPS) released in a statement. “Officers arrived on scene and located a male suffering from gunshot injuries.”

Ottawa Paramedics attended and transported the 34-year-old male to a local hospital, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

“Investigators believe this was a targeted incident,” the OPS said. “No arrest has been made at this time.”
