Quinn, 18, played his minor hockey in Cobden and is currently in his second year with the Ottawa 67’s junior hockey club. Quinn was one of a handful of junior players across the country invited to the annual showcase game. The game is a chance for all NHL draft eligible players to show their skills against the best playing junior hockey in Canada.

Quin did not disappoint scoring a goal and being named the game’s first star. The game was played in Hamilton Thursday evening. Team Blue ended up beating Quinn’s Team Red 5-3. There were roughly 20 NHL scouts attending the game.

Quinn is also off to a great start in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). Quinn leads the 67’s with 31 goals in 39 games. Quinn also has 18 assists for 49 points. The 67’s are having another great season leading the OHL standings just past the halfway mark of the season. Last year, Quinn’s first with the team, the 67’s made it to the OHL championship before falling to the Guelph Storm. Last year Guelph has some Valley content as well with Arnprior’s Liam Hawel playing for the OHL championship team

Quinn is projected to go in the first round of the upcoming NHL draft.
