Ottawa man faces charges after report of threatening phone calls, harassment

OTTAWA – Ottawa police have arrested a 53-year-old following a report of threatening phone calls and harassment.

“On Monday, Oct. 28, the Ottawa Police Service (OPS) responded to a report of a victim having received threatening and indecent phone calls and being criminally harassed,” the OPS released in a statement today (Oct. 29). “The involved male was arrested nearby and weapons were found in his possession.”

The Sexual Assault and Child Abuse unit assisted patrol officers with the investigation.

As a result of the OPS’ investigation, Timothy Kelly, 53-years-old of the Ottawa-Gatineau area, is charged with:
•       Attempted Sexual Assault with a weapon
•       Uttering Threats
•       Criminal Harassment, Indecent communication
•       Possession of a Weapon dangerous to public safety
•       Possession of a concealed weapon and Breach of Probation
