OPH reports six new COVID-19 cases, no new deaths in 13 days
OTTAWA – Ottawa Public Health (OPH) is reporting six new COVID-19 cases and no deaths for a 13th straight day as of yesterday (July 9).
The health agency says there have been 2,124 lab-confirmed cases of the virus in Ottawa, since the pandemic started. Of those cases, 1,814 (85.4 per cent) have been resolved.
Ottawa’s pandemic death toll still stands at 263. The last reported death was on June 25.
There are two people who have been hospitalized with COVID-19, one of which is in intensive care.
OPH says it knows of 47 active cases of the virus in the city.
There is just one long-term care home (Perley Rideau Veterans’ Health Centre) and one retirement residence (Amico Westboro Park) dealing with COVID-19 outbreaks.
