OPG hosting telephone town hall on local hydroelectric operations
RENFREW – Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is inviting Ottawa River residents to participate in a live telephone town hall March 24 to discuss OPG’s local hydroelectric operations.
The call will take place on Tuesday, March 24, at 6 p.m. for the upper Ottawa River region and 7:30 p.m. for the lower Ottawa River region.
“OPG is looking for new ways to reach our neighbours on important issues such as water management,” vice president of OPG’s Eastern Operations Residents Shaun Hinds said. “In the Ottawa River area may get a call on March 24. All you have to do is pick up your phone and follow the instructions. This is the first time we’re doing telephone town halls for this region, and we look forward to having thoughtful and constructive conversations with residents about our operations.”
Those who do not receive a call can still call in by dialing toll-free 1-877-229-8493 and entering ID code: 114208.
OPG is the largest electricity generator in the province, providing almost half the power Ontarians rely on every day. It is also one of the most diverse generators in North America with nuclear, hydro, biomass, solar and gas assets.
