LANARK COUNTY – A Friday morning (Sept. 6) three-vehicle collision east of Corkery has left one woman dead and three others injured.

The collision occurred at March Road and Greystone Drive.

The unidentified victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Lanark paramedics treated a second person for injuries and transported them to hospital.

Ottawa paramedics reported they treated two people from one car. A woman in her 50s was taken to the Ottawa hospital trauma centre in serious but stable conditions with multiple fractures. Another woman was taken to the trauma centre in stable condition with an isolated fracture.

March Road east of the town of Almonte was closed between Greystone Drive and Appleton Side Road for several hours. First responders were called to the intersection of March Road and Greystone Drive at about 8:44 a.m.
