CORKERY – Peter Robinson Road in Corkery is closed at this time as Ottawa police investigate a motor vehicle collision that has left one person dead.

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is asking people to avoid the road between March and Vaugh Side roads as the investigation continues in to a motor vehicle collision that happened at approximately 12:30 p.m. today (Aug. 9).

Ottawa police first reported it as a collision with injuries before updating the scene around 1 p.m.

“A person has succumbed to their injuries,” the OPS released on their Twitter account. “The OPS collision investigation unit is on scene. Road closures remain in effect.”
