MP hosts virtual budget consult Feb. 11
WEST CARLETON – Join MP Karen McCrimmon and talk federal spending as she hosts a Pre-Budget Consultation for Kanata-Carleton.
McCrimmon will host the virtual consultation on Facebook Live on Thursday, Feb. 11 starting at 7 p.m. McCrimmon, has been using Facebook Live and several other mediums to connect with her constituents during the pandemic. West Carleton Online spoke to her about that last November.
McCrimmon will be hosting this consultation virtually as well, like many MPs will be doing across the country.
“When COVID-19 is under control and Canada’s economy is ready for growth, the government has a plan to make smart, targeted investments that jumpstart the country’s economic recovery and begin to repair the damage done by the pandemic,” the Liberal government released in a statement. “These pre-budget consultations are an opportunity for Canadians from across the country to share their ideas and priorities for how the government can make investments to grow the economy. We want to hear your very best ideas on how to create new jobs and build a greener, more competitive, more innovative, more inclusive, more resilient Canada.”
Organizers ask you submit questions for the consultation in advance to Karen.McCrimmon@parl.gc.ca.
The event can be found online at Facebook.com/KarenMcCrimmon.ca.

“they will consider your input alongside the research economists at the department of finance have been doing to help inform decisions on the next budget,” the government said.
