Morris Island therapy session

VYDON ACRES – Join the Carp Ridge EcoWellness Centre and a group of Association of Nature and Forest Therapy guide trainees for a beautiful walk in the Morris Island Conservation Area forest on May 2.

Guides in training are hosting this free event on Thursday, May 2 from 9:15 a.m. to noon.

This 47-hectare site consists of forested woodlands and wetlands that will appeal to nature enthusiasts of all ages. Morris Island Conservation Area is a “living classroom and laboratory,” and a great place for outdoor education.

It’s managed by Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority along with volunteers for day-use recreational activities such as hiking, picnicking, canoeing, fishing and natural interpretation. Morris Island Conservation Area is jointly owned by Ontario Power Generation and the City of Ottawa.
