Missing man’s vehicle located at Prescott-Russell trail

PRESCOTT-RUSSELL– The vehicle of a missing man last seen in Nepean has turned up an hear east of Ottawa, but police are still looking for the owner.

“The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is still seeking public’s assistance in locating missing Peter Prachar, 40-year- old, from Ottawa,” the OPS released in a statement last Thursday (Oct. 17). “His vehicle was located the morning of Oct. 15 in the Prescott-Russell Recreational Trail parking lot, near the intersection of Renaud and Anderson roads.”

Police canvassed the area to locate Prachar, to no avail. Anyone with information on the current whereabouts of Prachar is asked to call the Ottawa Police at 613-236-1222.

“If you have information that could assist investigators, but do not know where he is currently, please contact the OPS Missing Persons Unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 2355, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., daily,” the OPS said. “Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-222-8477 or at crimestoppers.ca.”
