CARP – While the mayor was unavailable for the awarding of this year’s Good Deeds Cup, he’s making up for it this Saturday by coming to Carp and bringing pizza.

Mayor Jim Watson and Ward 5 Coun. Eli El-Chantiry will be honouring the West Carleton Warriors peewee A team for winning the Good Deeds Cup and earning $100,000 for tornado relief this St. Patrick’s Day (Sunday, March 17) at the W. Erskine Johnston Arena at 5 p.m.

The mayor will present the team with a certificate and host a pizza dinner in their honour.

The team will also announce future upcoming events as the Warriors continue to volunteer for their community.
