Man wanted in drugging, sex assaults turns self in

OTTAWA – A wanted man suspected of drugging and sexually assaulting women turned himself in to police yesterday (Dec. 22).

“The Ottawa Police Service’s (OPS) Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Unit wants to inform the public that Jason Christopher Drisdelle has turned himself in to police on Sunday morning,” the OPS released in a statement today (Dec. 23). “He is facing four counts of sexual assault and one count of administer noxious substance involving two victims”

Police issued an arrest warrant for the Ottawa man who police believe slipped drugs into the drinks of two people and sexually assaulted them. Police say two victims were drugged on separate occasions at a west Ottawa establishment last spring.

Investigators are concerned that there could be further victims.
