Man charged in Nov. 17 Bank Street shooting
OTTAWA – Ottawa Police Service’s Guns and Gangs Unit has charged a suspected gang member with attempted murder yesterday following the execution of a search warrant.
On Wednesday, April 17, the Guns and Gangs Unit charged Hussein Najdi with attempted murder in relation to a shooting that occurred on Nov. 21. The shooting occurred at Billing Bridge Shopping Centre and left one man injured.
On April 17, Guns and Gangs Unit executed a search warrant on the 100 block of Gillespie Cres. A handgun and ammunition were seized.
Nadji, 27-years-old, has been arrested and faces 13 charges related to the firearm along with the attempted murder charge.
Nadji appeared in court this morning (April 18).
