To the Editor,

My kudos to Maha and Eli for including their socks donation in their annual warm-hearted seasonal community event, and to each and everyone attending for their donation.

And special thanks to Gary Humphreys and Jake Davies for helping us load them into the van! Just hours after the event closed, I am seeing the socks already at work. So many in our community have no socks at all, in spite of the cold and damp. Seems socks and underwear are the last on anyone’s list, and for many the ‘list’ can’t reach that deeply and because no one else sees their lack.

Thank you, West Carleton, for looking after your own! Enjoy the season – it is now your due.
