Kinburn’s Trunk or Treat accepting registrations
KINBURN – Trunk or Treat is back, time to register your automobile as a mobile fright.
The annual Hallowe’en event is back and as is tradition, the car is the candy location, not the mode of transportation (well, it may be both). The West Carleton Trunk or Treat, held at the Kinburn Community Centre on Sunday, Oct. 27 from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Organizers require advance registration for vehicles.
“Register now for the West Carleton Trunk or Treat,” the Kinburn Community Centre released in a statement yesterday. “This annual event brings out so many families and so much fun for everyone. Dress up, decorate your vehicle, the kids trick or treat – what could be better?”
The event raises money for a different organization every year. This year proceeds raised will go to the West Carleton Skating Club, a not-for-profit, volunteer-based organization.
“Decorate your car and bring some treats,” the KCA said. “We’ll park in a circle and the kids will trick or treat from car to car.”
There are also games, prizes, colouring, tattoos and more. Last year the event hosted a silent auction to help raise funds. Vehicle registration is mandatory, and tickets are $5 per trick-or-treater. To register, email skate@wcskatingclub.ca
