KINBURN – If you grew up in the Kinburn area in the ‘70s and ‘80s (like we did), Friday nights were for skating parties.

The Kinburn Community Association (KCA) is bringing them back – one time only, and on a Monday – but that’s still the memory that came to mind.

The KCA is hosting a Family Day Skating Party Monday, Feb. 17 from 12:30 to 7 p.m. at the Kinburn Community Centre’s outdoor rink – the green flag is guaranteed to be flying.

“What are you doing this upcoming Family Day?” the KCA released in a statement. “The Kinburn Community Association is hosting a Family Skating Event. The canteen will be open, and you will be able to purchase hot dogs, drinks and other snacks, coffee and hot chocolate are available too. We hope you will join us and make this an amazing Family Day Holiday.”
