KCSBN hosting tax webinar April 7

What sounds like the start of a terrible April Fool’s joke is actually an opportunity to get some financial advice and tax tips for small businesses affected by COVID-19.

The Kanata-Carleton Small Business Network (KCSBN) is hosting a webinar titled Financial and Tax Tips for Local Business Owners Impacted by COVID-19 on Tuesday, April 7 at 7 p.m.

“We are facing a challenging time, so instead of our usual in-person free workshops, we have decided to host webinars to continue to support our small business community,” KCSBN President Dr. Rouba Fattal released in a statement. “Are you a local small business owner affected by COVID-19 and confused about your financial options and taxes? Join this webinar to get some useful tips and ask questions to an expert accountant.”

The keynote speaker will be Eric Aaron Sonego, owner of Eric Sonego Professional Group and an accountant in practice since 1988 (RPA, APA, CIA, CMA-AU and IIA -internal auditor).

Prior to that Sonego was management services officer with the Federal Business Development Bank of Canada. Sonego specialize in small and medium size businesses. He has taught business courses at Algonquin College and at the University of Ottawa. He also gives seminars on accounting topics including taxation, retirement planning. His firm also gives training to business people who want to learn how to use Simply Accounting.
