Huntley Curling Club picks up the golf sticks

CARP – Dictated by the weather, Huntley Curling Club (HCC) members put down their brooms and picked up their golf stick at the annual club golf tournament at the Irish Hill’s Golf Club.

“On June 22, 27 foursomes teed off at the annual golf tournament under beautifully sunny skies,” the club released in a statement. “Following a day of fun on the course, members and their guests enjoyed a delicious roast beef dinner, topped off with the awarding of the Century 21 golf trophy to the winning team of Aaron Robinson, Marc Tremblay and Eric Joy. “

Additional awards were presented to the Mixed, Ladies and Skills Competition winners, as well as the Most Honest Team.

“Members also shared prizes donated by several prominent community businesses whose generosity makes the day fun,” the HCC said. “With another tournament in the history books we have already started on plans for next year’s event. Make sure to mark your calendars for June 27, 2020 at Irish Hills, and we’ll see you on the course.”

But it’s still 2019 and the HCC has some people to thank.

“Thank you to our 2019 Huntley Curling Club Golf Tournament sponsors,” the HCC said. “Such a fun day catching up with fellow curlers on the course. Looking forward to reconnecting with everyone again soon. These sponsors generously donated prizes. Please patronize them and take a moment to thank them for their support.”
