FITZROY HARBOUR – Paul Eastwood said yes to Encore and now he is saying yes to retirement.

Fitzroy Harbour’s Eastwood matched all seven Encore numbers in exact order in the Jan. 18, Lotto 6/49 draw and won $1 million.

 Eastwood a 57-year old electronic technician, discovered his win when he scanned his ticket at the Ticket Checker.

“Then I took my ticket to the cashier without saying anything and watched her eyes light up when she validated it,” Eastwood said, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his cheque. “This win changes everything.”

 Eastwood plans to retire with his windfall.

“I will now be able to spend my life more focused on meaningful things that feed my soul – like my family and making music,” Eastwood said. “This decade will be positive and successful.”

The winning ticket was purchased at The Harbour Store on Fitzroy Street in Fitzroy Harbour.
