FITZROY HARBOUR – The Fitzroy Harbour Community Association (FHCA) 2020 scholarship program deadline is fast approaching.

Each year the FCHA supports young community leaders with a $1,000 scholarship.

Up to $1,000 is available for local students now attending college of university.

“Attention 2020 high school grads who will be attending college or university this fall,” the FHCA released in a statement Monday (Aug. 16). “The deadline is Sept. 15 to apply for the FHCA Scholarship.

The FHCA asks applicants send a cover letter with information about your involvement in the community, where you are attending post-secondary school, as well as a copy of your two most recent report cards.

“A committee of local community members will review all submissions and select the recipient(s),” the FHCA said.
