FITZROY HARBOUR – When the weather keeps you inside, it’s still important to get your young child moving.

The Western Ottawa Community Resource Centre (WOCRC) is hosting Let’s Get a Move On at Bethel-St. Andrew’s United Church (184 Lougheed Way) tomorrow (March 5) from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.

“From giant board games to quiet yoga, the options for indoor movement activities are limitless,” the WOCRC released in a statement. “Shake off the winter blues with this workshop that explores a variety of activities designed to get kids moving even when it’s too cold to play outside. Enjoy an action-packed afternoon and be inspired to bring home the movement after. Babies who are crawling and pre-walkers are welcome.”

Parents and caregivers are invited to bring their newborn to four-year-old to the workshop for tips on keeping young children active throughout the day.
