Generator replacement to reduce parking at Carleton Place hospital

CARLETON PLACE – The Carleton Place District Memorial Hospital will have reduced parking for the next week.

From Thursday, Oct.  31 to Monday, Nov.  4, a portion of the parking lot at the back of the hospital will be closed. A number of parking spaces will be affected.

CPDMH is replacing its generator and the next step in the project includes the construction of a concrete pad for the generator unit. It will be located in the back parking lot, adjacent to where the new Emergency Department will be constructed.  Funding for the generator project has been provided by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care’s Health Infrastructure Renewal Fund.

“To ensure we have parking for our patients, CPDMH staff will park at the arena during this construction period,” the CPDMH released in a statement.  “We anticipate there will be additional parking restrictions over the next four weeks. We will continue to update patients and families on our website, Foundation Facebook channel and with additional signage. We apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you for your patience during this important equipment upgrade.”
