Freezing rain to hit West Carleton tonight
WEST CARLETON – Environment Canada is calling for freezing rain tonight (Dec. 13) in to Saturday morning.
Environment Canada released a special weather statement this morning stating a risk of freezing rain was possible in West Carleton.
“An approaching east coast storm will bring the risk of freezing rain to the area Friday night into Saturday morning,” Environment Canada released in a statement at 6:39 a.m. “Any freezing rain will transition over to rain during the day Saturday.”
However, as the system moves away from the area Saturday night, rain will transition back to snow.
“A quick few centimetres of accumulation is expected in combination with strong gusty winds and colder temperatures,” Environment Canada said.
