Fentanyl, drug-processing equipment, cash seized in Kanata bust
KANATA – Ottawa police found drugs, cash and drug-making equipment in a bust in Kanata off of Campeau Drive.
The Ottawa Police Service is charging a 28-year-old with a handful of drug-related offences after discovering fentanyl in a Kanata apartment.
Along with the drug, officers say they uncovered items used in the production of fentanyl and cash during the search of an apartment on Canadian Shield Avenue yesterday, (Aug. 13).
Hussein Deria has been charged with:
- Possession of proceeds of crime
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking
- Producing a Schedule I substance
- Possession of things used in the production of a Schedule I substance
Deria is scheduled to appear in court today, (Aug. 14).
